Mr Damir Kosutic
Internationally acclaimed expert in Lymphoedema Microsurgery, and Natural Tissue Breast Reconstruction (DIEP flap, PAP flap, thigh flaps). Mr Kosutic, who is at the forefront of treatment and research in this field, has dedicated his practice completely to help patients with Lymphoedema and Breast Cancer restore their quality of life. He developed and pioneered a number of reconstructive surgical techniques published and presented worldwide. He is a full-time Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at prestigious Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, where he is responsible for the development of complex microsurgical reconstruction. He is the only plastic surgeon in the UK trained in Lymphoedema Microsurgery by prof. Cheng, a pioneer in this field from Taiwan. Mr Kosutic completed prestigious fellowships in Breast Reconstruction and Perforator flaps with pioneers in this field prof. Jaume Masia in Barcelona as well as the inventor of DIEP flap – Dr Robert Allen in New York.
